Invitation to Submit Letters of Interest
Job description
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) announces an invitation to interested Local Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), foundations, unions of legal entities, community Based Organizations (CBOs) and Private Companies with strong SCR to submit Letters of Interest (LoI) to potentially collaborate under the current programs in Jordan, as well as possibly participate in developing joint proposals to pursue new funding opportunities. The IRC makes no promises or any kind of financial commitments to the organizations who decide to participate in the Invitation to submit a Letter of Interest, it is more aimed to map the potential partners for future projects based on the donor funding.
The IRC responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, IRC work today in more than 40 countries and in 22 U.S. cities, IRC restores safety, dignity and hope to millions who are uprooted by conflict or disaster. IRC leads the way from harm to home.
The Syria crisis is often described as the worst humanitarian catastrophe since the end of the Cold War. There are 4 million Syrian refugees in neighboring countries. This is no short-term humanitarian episode. The devastating human consequences to huge numbers of people will endure for decades. The destruction of relationships, communities, livelihoods, homes and infrastructure will take years to repair.
IRC in Jordan seeks Letters of Interest (LOIs) from potential partners who are interested in collaborating in primarily the following sectors:
1. Women Protection and Empowerment.
2. Economic Recovery and Development.
3. Vocational education.
4. Early Childhood Development “ECD”.
IRC seeks registered organizations who can demonstrate a specific focus and mission supporting one or more of the sectors mentioned above. Eligible organizations must have an established constituency and programming in Jordan (preferred in the North Jordan, East Amman, Zarqa and the camps) and a record of at least three years in the abovementioned sectors, as well as international funding experience and can demonstrate their capacity in program and finance management, effective coordination and results.
Interested applicants are invited to send an email at SRR.Partners@rescue.org
By 13 September 16:00 to request for a soft copy of the application. The deadline is the 20 September 2018.
Each organization can submit only one LOI. Interested organizations are invited to submit their complete full applications in electronic version only, via email at SRR.Partners@rescue.org
Deadline for submissions is 20 September 2018, 16:00
