As a successful candidate you will be responsible for ensuring appropriate well completion designs, cost-effective fracturing programs tailored to numerous reservoirs, and studies on related projects.

A bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering. A masters’ degree would be an advantage.
You will have minimum of 10 years of extensive production engineering experience including experience in unconventional resources or HPHT/Tight Gas with a strong understanding of hydraulic fracturing.
You will be familiar with simulation software such as Prosper, Saphir, WellCat and MFrac (or equivalent) with the ability to perform nodal analysis.

Design well completion and propose alternatives if required
Design and execute quality assurance/quality control and perform post-job analysis for acid and proppant fracturing treatments
Determine the optimum production rate for wells
Perform studies and projects assuring adequacy and conformance to overall objectives of all phases of problems in areas, including stimulation, production, well design and testing programs, reservoir flow properties and fluid studies
Own the quality and implementation of optimization tools
Analyze and resolve water chemistry issues
Working closely with the surveillance organization you will plan, monitor and validate surveillance activities for wells to ensure well integrity
Provide input to pilot design and interpretation
Conduct flow assurance analysis
Monitor corrosion and resolve paraffin scaling issues
Utilize artificial lift to increase productivity of wells
Conduct nodal analysis
Implement industry best practices and exchange of learning’s with other similar unconventional gas assets

The Systems Consultant will initiate and lead high level data management projects, analyze complex data management issues and implements corrective permanent solutions, perform in-depth development of data governance practices and implementations as well as lead and direct Unconventional Resources data management initiatives and projects.

As a Reservoir engineer in an unconventional asset you will support the team with your experience in reservoir management, performance and surveillance to develop and execute a field development plan for Ultra tight and Channels sand reservoirs. Experience or a good understanding of stimulation programs design, well test analysis, rate transient analysis, decline curve analysis, dynamic reservoir modeling, reserves classification, EUR predictions, well spacing optimization, will be required to support key development decisions.
You should also be very familiar with the “factory” approach to development of resource plays and the requirements to increase efficiency and reduce cost to make the plays economic.

Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum engineering or a related science as appropriate to the required discipline. An advanced degree is preferred and will reduce prerequisite work experience stated below by one year for master degree and two years for PhD.
We are targeting 15-20 years’ experience with at least 5-10 years in unconventional plays including shale or tight gas or channel reservoir, with some US experience in unconventional hydrocarbon basins required. We will consider candidates with more or less experienced depending on the quality of their experience.
Other desirable skills include oil and gas field development and production operations, preferably some in unconventional gas/condensate and Channel sand reservoirs, some knowledge of work over/recompletion program design and wellsite operations , log analysis, operating expense analysis, understanding of geology and reservoir mechanics , material balance, formation evaluation, core analysis, geomechanics and hydraulic fracture optimization, single-well and multiple-well modeling and nodal analysis preferred. Familiarity with software such as Petrel RE, Kappa’s Saphire, Rubis, IHS Harmony, PVTi, OFM, DSS, Eclipse Quiklook, Pipesim and other commercial reservoir simulation tools.

Performs engineering work requiring application of standard and unconventional techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of engineering tasks.
Prepare requirements for well completion, develop well designs for new wells and provide technical assistance to drilling and production staff to ensure that each well is completed in a safe, efficient manner.
Design and implement field development plans for unconventional resource plays.
Monitor operating expenses to operate and maintain wells to produce the highest volumes of oil and gas at the lowest cost. Prepare annual volumes and expenses for budgeting.
Monitor and analyze well tests and production curves.
Gather, perform calculations on and analyze data such as well tests, fluid levels, bottom-hole pressures, and decline curves to assure efficient producing and equipment utilization.
Coordinate all aspect of new completions, especially design of fracture stimulation.
Work closely with the wider unconventional team in planning and conducting field studies.
