Assistant Trader (Capital Markets Trading)

Job description

Accountabilities & Key Roles :
·         Managing capital markets portfolios, within mandated credit and accounting criteria
·         Managing repo processes to support the liquidity of the capital markets portfolios
·         Monitoring and reporting on the liquidity of the capital markets portfolios
·         Buy and sell securities for the capital markets portfolios, in line with portfolio strategies, rules limits and dealing mandates
·         Enhance portfolio liquidity by ensuring that repo processes exist to support secured funding against positions in the capital markets portfolios
·         Support the provision of business cases and analysis to support applications for changes to portfolio strategies or limits
Job Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor degree ina mathematical or economic discipline from a recognised university.
Experience
2 years’ experience with a recognised financial institution.
Competencies
·         Fluency in English – spoken and written
·         Very good numerical and analytical skills
·         Good presentation, communication and interpersonal skills

Sr. Regulatory Compliance Officer (Communications & Standards Team)

Job description


Accountabilities & Key Roles :
  • Initiate, define and plan projects based on business cases provided by the Project sponsor, or Program Delivery Manager or GRC Enterprise Projects Manager.
  • Develop and execute a plan of project assurance to include follow up of any exceptions raised in dashboard reports to ensure the effective delivery of the strategic portfolio of projects.
  • Responsible for delivery of significant projects or programs on behalf of the Executive Sponsor.
  • Manage key project management processes including, planning, change control, issue and risk management, monitoring and control of projects, cost management to support Project Leaders / Sponsors / Steering committees.
  • Act as the moderator in bridging the gap between business and IT Teams ensuring the alignment is met.
  • Contribute to the development of best practice portfolio, program and projects’ standards and governance schemes.
  • Demonstrate best practice project, portfolio, program management skills in line with the Arab Bank Project Management Framework.
  • Provide project management expertise to recover off-track projects.
  • Provide coaching to other project managers and staff to establish a project management culture across the organization.
  • Demonstrate excellent project leadership behaviors to the community of project and program management staff within Arab Bank.
Job Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor degree in business or technology from a recognized university. Graduate degree and Internationally recognized project management certification (e.g. PMP, MSP, APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent) are a big plus.
Experience
5 Up to 7 years experience with a leading Bank or firm in delivery of business/technology projects in complex and/or varied environments (multi-country and across different disciplines ranging from Strategy to IT projects).
Competencies

  • Fluent in English and Arabic.
  • Good problem/issue resolution, communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven knowledge in Software Development Life-Cycle and experience in delivering business applications’ projects.
  • Good working knowledge of PM software and office tools (e.g. Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Proven ability to deliver projects with the Senior Management team of Executives.
  • Good project leadership and track record of delivery.
  • Proven ability to influence internal projects’ stakeholders and external suppliers through negotiation.

Cost Control Manager

Job description


Accountabilities & Key Roles :
·         Check Technical / Financial proposal evaluations related to disposal of bank’s fixed assets ensuring implementation of adopted policies & procedures through participation in Bank’s Assets Disposal Committee.
·         Follow up and check the transferring / disposal transactions for fixed assets & stationery including the entries that relate to them.
·         Control prices & quantities in invoices and ensure their reasonability and accuracy and perform crosschecks.
·         Prepare accurate, effective and timely MIS and other reports that are needed for management decision making process and provide Central Bank of Jordan with the required regulatory reports that comply with their requirements.
·         Coordinate with internal & external auditors within the area of fixed assets & stationery, follow up on their notes and observation and ensure efficient resolution.
·         Prepare accounting entries regarding fixed assets & stationery processes in accordance with IFRS & Group Accounting policies & procedures and provide input for establishing and maintaining the fixed assets & stationery policies & procedures.
·         Physical verification and reconciliation of Jordan branches ,H.O and warehouses fixed assets & stationery
·         Perform periodical analysis of capital costs including fixed assets & stationary and provide actionable cost saving ideas and recommendations.
·         Ensure all issues / incidents reported by Arab Bank plc financial controllers regarding fixed assets & stationery systems are followed up, addressed and resolved accurately and on timely basis.
·         Review settlements letters related to fixed assets & stationary after ensuring all requirements are available.
·         Follow up and capitalize projects related to fixed assets and stationary systems.
                       Job Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance.
       Experience
7 – 10 Years experience in a similar position with experience in procurement.

·         Fluent in English and Arabic.
·         Excellent analytical & numerical skills .
·         Excellent communication, & interpersonal skills.
·         Team player.
·         Self reliant, results oriented, problem solver and possess excellent   judgment.
