Cost Control Manager
Job description
Accountabilities & Key Roles :
· Check Technical / Financial proposal evaluations related to disposal of bank’s fixed assets ensuring implementation of adopted policies & procedures through participation in Bank’s Assets Disposal Committee.
· Follow up and check the transferring / disposal transactions for fixed assets & stationery including the entries that relate to them.
· Control prices & quantities in invoices and ensure their reasonability and accuracy and perform crosschecks.
· Prepare accurate, effective and timely MIS and other reports that are needed for management decision making process and provide Central Bank of Jordan with the required regulatory reports that comply with their requirements.
· Coordinate with internal & external auditors within the area of fixed assets & stationery, follow up on their notes and observation and ensure efficient resolution.
· Prepare accounting entries regarding fixed assets & stationery processes in accordance with IFRS & Group Accounting policies & procedures and provide input for establishing and maintaining the fixed assets & stationery policies & procedures.
· Physical verification and reconciliation of Jordan branches ,H.O and warehouses fixed assets & stationery
· Perform periodical analysis of capital costs including fixed assets & stationary and provide actionable cost saving ideas and recommendations.
· Ensure all issues / incidents reported by Arab Bank plc financial controllers regarding fixed assets & stationery systems are followed up, addressed and resolved accurately and on timely basis.
· Review settlements letters related to fixed assets & stationary after ensuring all requirements are available.
· Follow up and capitalize projects related to fixed assets and stationary systems.
Job Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience:
7 - 10 Years experience in a similar position with experience in procurement.
Competencies:
· Fluent in English and Arabic.
· Excellent analytical & numerical skills .
· Excellent communication, & interpersonal skills.
· Team player.
· Self reliant, results oriented, problem solver and possess excellent judgment.
