One of the leading importers and suppliers in Qatar is looking to hire the following positions with the required skills for each position :
Designated Person Ashore (DPA) :
Extensive knowledge of applicable international and national codes, guidelines and standards such as ISM Code, ISPS Code, SOLAS, MARPOL etc.
• Preferred 5 years IACS class experience.
• Fluent in English
• Adequate shipboard sailing experience as Chief Engineer Officer or Master.
• Minimum 10 years practical senior level experience in ship management operations and seafaring experience.
• Very good knowledge of shipping and seamanship.
• Adept in technical or operational aspects of safety management.
Marine Operations Manager:
Knowledge of various charter parties (BIMCO Supply time 89 & 2005), (Barecon) and in Tow hire.
• In Depth Knowledge of class, Flag state, Port state, IMO, Solas / Marpol / ISM / ISPS / MLC
• Certified in ISM/ISPS Auditors course/CSO/SSO and DPA Certified.
• Degree Holder experienced in tug & Barge operation, preferably qualified master, or those with the necessary experienced.
• Knowledge of all aspects of vessel chartering activities, negotiating and managing freight rates and contract proposals with ship owners and third-party brokers.
• Minimum 12 years off/on shore experience in operations, marine, shipping and crewing.
• Experience of dealing with national/International regulatory authorities.
• Experience managing a team and good people management skills.
• Fluency in English
