Parents Facilitator


JOB TITLE: Parent Facilitator 
TEAM/PROGRAMME: ECCD/ Program Implementation
LOCATION: Azraq camp
POST TYPE: National
CHILD SAFEGUARDING: Level 3 – the responsibilities of the post may require the post holder to have regular contact with or access to children or young people
ROLE PURPOSE: The Parent Facilitator will be responsible for designing, planning, building the capacity of the parents, families  and caregivers of the Syrian refugees in Za’tri camp and mentoring  staff in execution and rollout of all parental involvement activities in the ECCD program
SCOPE OF ROLE: 
Reports to: KG head teacher
Dimensions: Save the Children Jordan Country Office currently works in all 12 Governorates with a current staff complement of approximately 730 staff and current portfolio of approximately $ 22 million each year.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Support the delivery of effective Programmes, in both development and humanitarian contexts, by:
  • Revise, improve, pilot, and finalize better parenting program for the families in the camp.
  • Support the volunteers in developing an implementation and expansion plan
  • Develop training package and integrate it in the revised teacher training package
  • Reporting and documentation of all trainings related to better parenting program. As well as contributing to progress reports.
  • Ensure project quality implementation and represent the project in relevant meetings including the PTA technical committee
  • Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of crisis or emergency.
  •  Commitment to serving members and their donors, and to helping build a culture of member service throughout organisation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential: 
·         Bachelor Degree in Education or Psychology , related field
·         Demonstrated experience as a trainer in a related field
·         In depth knowledge of the education system in Jordan
·         Knowledge of parental involvement activities 
·         Training and facilitation skills
·         Ability to work with a team
·         Ability to work under pressure
·         Excellent command of Arabic spoken and written and very good command of English
·         Strong computer skills
·         Good communication skills
